Where To Stay In Ibiza

Where To Stay In Ibiza

One of the most common questions we get asked is “Where’s best to stay in Ibiza?” so we thought we’d write a blog summarising some of the most popular Ibiza resorts to help you out. You’re welcome!

Ibiza Town (Eivissa)

The capital of Ibiza, Ibiza Town, really does have something for everyone. With it’s rich history, it has everything from culture to clubbing, all overlooked by the ancient citadel of Dalt Vila which contains original Sixteenth and Eighteenth Century military technology with replica weapons and armoury if history is your thing.

Home to the world-famous nightclub, Pacha, there is no shortage of nightlife in the capital but if you’re after a slower pace of life, then the old town streets & harbour are jam-packed with a great selection of bars and restaurants for you to wile away the day over a jug or 3 of sangria whilst picking out which super-yacht you’ll buy when you win the lottery!

Santa Eulalia

On the east coast of Ibiza, Santa Eulalia is perfect if you’re looking for a quieter holiday in Ibiza. It’s Ibiza’s third largest resort and is known to be the island’s gastronomic and cultural centre, being home to some of the island’s best restaurants (no coincidence this is where team YBI reside!).

With it’s stunning palm-lined promenade, sandy beach and exclusive yacht marina, Santa Eulalia has it all, including the Balearics only river, and is a great base if you want a laid back holiday on the white isle.

Playa d’en Bossa

Offering everything from budget to five star luxury plus the islands longest beach, Playa D’en Bossa is Ibiza’s most popular resort.

By day, choose from one of the many cool beach bars to enjoy Bali beds, cocktails & great food to the soundtrack of laid-back DJ sets. And if you’re feeling more energetic, there are plenty of water-sports facilities where you can take out paddle-boards and jet skis amongst other fun water toys.

Home to superclubs Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza, Playa D’en Bossa comes alive at night, attracting world famous DJs and the island’s clubbing crowd.

San Antonio

Situated on the west coast of the island and best known for its sunset, Ibiza’s second largest town, San Antonio, is a buzzing resort with probably the widest varieties of things to do on both land and sea. It’s hard to believe that for 2000 years it was once a small fishing village!

One of the largest and most beautiful natural harbours in Europe, San Antonio is the most popular resort for taking to the water by boat and exploring the beautiful west coast coves and beaches whether that’s on your very own Ibiza boat charter or on one of the many party boats.

Attracting a younger crowd, there are also plenty of bars to prepare you for the Ibiza nightlife once the sun sets.

Santa Gertrudis

Steeped in tradition and surrounded by agricultural landscape, Santa Gertrudis in the centre of Ibiza is home to a mix of hip & Ibicenco bars, restaurants, shops and a pretty little whitewashed church.

Small but perfectly formed, the village square is a pedestrian friendly plaza and home to arts and crafts shops, galleries, and an eclectic mix of clothing and accessory shops – an ideal place to enjoy the true delights Ibiza has to offer.

Portinatx

If you want to get away from it all and enjoy some beach time, then family-friendly Portinatx might be the place for you. Situated on the beautiful far north east tip of the island, scenes of the musical South Pacific were filmed here due to its stunning backdrop of pine trees and three fabulous beaches.

Although a distance from the famous clubs of Ibiza, there is a surprisingly active nightlife in Portinaxt’s music bars and small clubs with plenty of activities on offer in the day such as water sports and mini-golf for the more active so something for everyone.
